Signed FR to the front, these are a series of plates designed by Froment Richard (aka Antoine Albert Richard) who created a range of Sarreguemines designs illustrated with nursery story scenes and children, including the famous “Enfant Richard” series. The plates are of circular, slightly concave form. They have two perforations on the foot rim for hanging or display, and most retain their original hanging loop. Cursive Sarreguemines stamp to the base, over printed with the monogram U & C for Utzschneider & Co. Additional printed and impressed letters and numerals to the base. In Generally Very Good Antique Condition. Transferware Pattern, Colours and glaze remain vibrant and predominantly intact. Light crazing to a couple of pieces and several have small fleabites / glaze scrapes to the rim. Three Plates have minor damage (see final photo). Once Treasured; Now ready to be Treasured Again!
