He has been bound with his own garlands. Aegle, fairest of the Naiads paints the face of the sleeping face and brows of Silenus with crimson mulberries. Reproduction of a Roman bas-relief (by Scarpello Fiammingo). Some of the fauns are stealing Silenus’ ass. Condition: Very good, given age. A few creases in the sheet, small stains in margin. Tear in lower margin in text part, backed with contemporary paper and acid-free archival tape. A faint vertical brown line in the middle of the sheet. Please study scan carefully.
